AllergX® – Frequently Asked Questions
Will AllergX Cure My Allergies?
Unfortunately, the answer is no. Allergies can’t truly be cured, because they are an antibody sensitivity that your body has developed over time.
However, since over-production of the allergen antibody IgE can make mast cells more sensitive to allergens, and thus more easily release histamine during allergen exposure, regulating the over-production of IgE can help restore a normal response to seasonal and year-round allergens, which, according to leading U.S. Board Certified Allergist, Dr. Paul H. Ratner, MD is NO ALLERGIC RESPONSE AT ALL.
Will AllergX Help Relieve Food Allergies?
No… AllergX mediates what is known as the ‘Atopic Pathway’ to regulate over-production of the allergen antibody IgE. Food allergies work via a different pathway, and AllergX is not intended for food allergies.
Some food allergies can trigger very serious allergic reactions, called ‘anaphylaxis’, which is a medical emergency. If you believe you are having a medical emergency, or an anaphylactic reaction, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room immediately. If you know you have food allergies, for example to seafood or peanuts, you should ask your doctor about getting and carrying an Epi-Pen with you in case of immediate need.
What Causes My Allergies?
When people say they “have allergies”, they are referring to a set of symptoms they develop when they are exposed to various allergens – such as pollen or pet dander, for example. But these allergens are in reality only triggers that cause certain individuals who over-produce a specific allergen antibody, called IgE, to release histamine into the system. It is the body reacting to this histamine release that results in the range of allergy symptoms allergic individuals experience.
Some people, due to many factors, over-produce these IgE allergen antibodies, which makes them hyper-sensitive to allergens and can cause an over-sensitivity that releases histamine when these individuals are exposed to various allergens. Regulating the over-production of IgE has been shown in clinical studies to restore a normal response to seasonal and year-round allergens, which is, according to Dr. Paul H. Ratner, MD, a leading Board Certified Allergist, “no allergic response at all.” AllergX has been shown in multiple clinical studies to regulate the over-production of IgE.
How Quickly Does AllergX Work?
Clinical studies have shown a reduction in allergy symptoms within the first week or two of taking AllergX, but re-balancing the over-production of IgE can take as long as 4 weeks or more, depending on how severely your body is over-producing IgE. The longer you take AllergX, the more significantly and continuously it regulates this IgE over-production.
For people with seasonal allergies, AllergX should be taken as 1 tablet twice a day starting a few weeks before allergy season, and should continue taking AllergX throughout the entire allergy season. For people with year-round allergies, such as to dust, mites, pet dander and others, you should take AllergX daily throughout the year.
Is AllergX Safe For Children?
AllergX is indicated for use by adults and children over 12. Before using AllergX for children any younger, talk with your doctor, as you should if you have any medical questions or concerns. AllergX is a natural cobalamin-complex supplement using only the highest grade ingredients.
The directions for use for AllergX state that it should be used only by adults and children over 12 years of age or older. Please follow all directions as stated. If you have any questions, always consult your doctor first. But again, if you have any questions, always ask your doctor before using this or any other product, especially with children.
